We did the Fisher Towers trail during a few day visit in Moab. While Arches National Park is obviously a must-see while in the area, and stunning...I'd have to say you can't miss checking out Fisher Towers either! A beautiful 30 minute drive along the Colorado river from Moab, the drive itself is something to take in. And the hike... More

Although not an easy or quick hike, the views you are rewarded with along the trail and at the trails end are worth the effort. The hike takes you in and out of the canyon and winds around the base of the towers on some narrow ledges. There is one ladder on the trail. I'm not fond of heights but... More

We have driven by here many times and finally stopped. There is a good hiking trail that you can take as far as you like. We only went for a 30 minutes hike. Good views and a really cool canyon to see.

A Moab classic and one of the best short hikes anywhere. Nonstop Stunning scenery! Dogs allowed! Exposed so plan your hike when it is cool - morning, evening, winter, spring, fall.

Fantastic scenery but is difficult. 3-4 hours and there is one small ladder. We loved it but recommended an early start.

This is a great hike. I was there in offseason in February. It was perfect weather for hiking but bring ice cleats for some trails. Do realize when hiking that there are two trails that split part way up. I missed one turn and had to find my way back. I got to see it in bright sunshine and with... More

If you can, do the whole hike, you won't regret it. The panoramic view at the end is spectacular. I felt like I was in a painting. The light from the sun setting hitting the rock walls was so cool. You can even see the Colorado River off in the distance, and snow on the mountains if you go in... More

We had some time while in Moab after a day of hiking in Canyonlands and decided to explore up the Colorado River.

The road to the Fisher Towers along the Colorado River is breathtaking. The last part to the trailhead is unpaved but no problem with a normal car. I red in the Internet the best time for a hike is afternoon, because of the light. So we started on the Tuesday afternoon of the last week of September at 2 pm... More
