    Good location
Having stopped off for a picnic here, we only did a small part of the trail, the weather had turned & we felt it was the better part of valour to retreat. fantastic range of rocks to enjoy. Highly recommended. In addition the drive to or from Moab is quite spectacular in its own right too. Well worth a visit.

    Pretty Hike
The hike was very pretty. I believe we were almost to the end but decided to turn back because you had to walk along a very steep drop-off to get there. We were ok with the rest of the climbing but we don't do steep drop-offs. I would still recommend the trail as long as you know what you are in for. What we saw was very pretty.

Favorite hike near Moab - including Arches Nat'l Park Hikes
Why this hike isn’t rated THE best around Moab is beyond me. It’s about 5 miles round trip and you see absolutely gorgeous views most of the way. And the top is 360 degrees of pure beauty. We started out early (7:45ish) and spent about an hour at the top with nobody else to bother us. On the way back we encountered quite a few people on their way up. There’s a good deal of elevation with stunning views around each bend. This was by far our favorite hike.

This was such a beautiful hike. We only did the first part. The trail was not well marked. We had a hard time figuring out where we were going. Otherwise, we would have hiked further. There is parking. The drive there was beautiful.

This is an awesome hike! Definitely at the same level as the Corona Arch hike. I have hiked extensively in the area and in the nearby national parks...and this would be in my top 5. Get there early to get a parking spot at the trailhead, to avoid the heat, and to avoid crowds. We got there at about 7 in the morning and it was awesome hiking up. Only met one other group. The towers are spectacular. The trail is more strenuous than we thought, but not bad. It goes up and down a lot, and then up quit a bit. At this time of year there were lots of blooming wildflowers along the way. Wow! I didn't realize how steep it was until we hiked back down. Great trail...easy to follow. Probably not good for little children as there are some steep drop offs. Beautiful views from the top/end of the trail on both sides of the crest. We enjoyed peace and quiet for just a few minutes at the top before lots of hikers started to catch up and make it touristy and noisy. By the time we got back to the trailhead, the parking lot was full and cars were parked for about a hundred yards down the road. I'd say our timing all around was just about right.

He saw this turn off as we were driving towards Moab so we took it. There’s a campground and a trailhead at the end of the road. Restroom available. The enclosed kind but porta potty style. Clean though and lots of toilet paper. I was impressed. It’s a 2.2 mile hike one way to Fisher Tower. It’s amazing, the views here, just craggy and yet green.
There’s five camping sites with bbq pits and picnic benches in some. Looks like it’s first come, first served and you pay by using the envelopes provided and placing the money into the locked box. The fees are collected daily. Cash or check only. They have instructions on where you can get drinking water, dumpster or find a camp host. Not a lot of parking so it can get crowded with campers and hikers.
Nice place and it would be a comfy camping site. Just remember to bring water and cash or check.

Beautiful hike outside of Moab. Nice little bonus to the parks. The hike can be quite challenging but so worth it.

First, you can enjoy a 20-mile scenic drive on Hwy 191 to the Fisher Tower trailhead! (The 1+mile dirt road off of the highway to the parking lot is, unfortunately, very rough and bumpy!) But don't let that stop you. This trail is awesome!! Beautiful views all around, red rock spires at your side, mountains in the distance, and lots of switchbacks. The hike is a moderate out and back, with fabulous views from both directions!

This was indeed a fabulous trail. The depth of the red in the soil and rocks and the fabulous rock formations make this a very special hike. The official sign states the trail at 4.4 miles (round trip/out and back) with 833ft of elevation change (starting point to highest point). But our fitbit and GPS measured it more like 5.5 miles and other hiking sites label the hike with as much as 1,800 elevation gain. Regardless there is a lot of up and down with one ladder and a bit of scrambling up lets say very large step ups/downs. But no really climbing over rocks or more difficult moves.

With all that said there view of the trail and the rock formations is fabulous from beginning to end. The trail cover both red clay ground, gravel and slick rock. I enjoyed the trail and the view the whole way out and back.

Bring water of course. There is a bathroom at the entrance to the trail as well as a few picnic tables. Their is not much shade on the hike so be prepared for strong sun.
