The Green River is one of the most beautiful spots around Asheville. You can go hiking at all levels, see world class kayakers, incredible waterfalls and beautiful cascades and flora/fauna. We did tours with green river adventures to really get the most out of this area. Highly recommend this tour company based in Saluda.

The green river offers three section of varying difficulties from easy class V in the narrows to class III+ to the lazy class I and II of the lower. Kayakers, hunters, and fishermen enjoy and care for the upper and narrows sections where access is more difficult. However the families, tubers, and other users of the lower green often litter...
