I am disappointed and outraged by the bad signaling of the Appalachian Trail in the area directly managed by the AMC in New Hampshire. I have been traveling the AT from Georgia to Maine, and the AT's passage through New Hampshire has very bad bad or non existent signage; this is a shame. I have the impression (as well as... More

Wonderful hike, very easy but still, a hike, so, not overly easy. A great workout, without seeming like it (for me anyway). Trail was well marked and connecting with nature, has its spiritual rewards. Highly recommended

We recently stayed in Randolph, and were about 5 minutes away from the Appalachia Trail Heads...Fabulous, but not for the faint of heart or out of shape. Moderate in NH is difficult in most other places! We hiked the Valleyway to Madison AMC Hut, which is basically a rock scramble the last quarter mile plus, hut is awesome. From there... More

We chose to stay at a condo in North Woodstock, New Hampshire, to take advantage of the wonderful hiking in the Appalachian Mountains, including sections of the famous Appalachian Trail. Although Mt.
