Great place to spend a day or two exploring by car and foot. The scenic drive through the park is a minimum making a stop or two along the way to in some of the views. Was there on the early edge of fall foliage which made it a bit more spectacular. I'm sure during the peak it must be... More

My wife and I were on a Fall Foliage Tour. This was one of our stops on the tour. Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not cooperate. We were hoping for some brilliant Fall Colors, but it didn't happened. We stopped at the Visitor's Center on the tour. We did see the Covered Bridge by the Visitor's Center.

Drove on Kancamagus Highway, a National scenic byway. It was beautiful and worth seeing. Stopped off at Sabbada Brook Trail (total of .6 miles) to see the falls. It was chilly, with the brook running along the trail, but so tranquil and beautiful. The falls was close and easy to see, but not spectacular or large. Visited the Russell Colbath... More

I saw some of the reviews about drives through White Mountains - and you can't go wrong for sure- it's all beautiful. But if possible take a walk/hike - there are trails for the novices to the experienced. One of my favorite books is New England Hiking by Michael Lanza. He doesn't know this but his book has been my... More

You couldn't pick a better place to drive, especially with the changing of the fall foliage! My husband and I timed it perfectly for us to spend the last week of October in the area. The temperature was great, and the views were magnificent. We chose lodging right on the Kancamagus Hwy and drove the area frequently during the week.... More

We spent a lot of time diving that day, to see most of 302 and Kancamagus Highway. The sights were beautiful and there were many places to pull over and enjoy the exceptions views. In addition to roadside pulloffs, there were also several specific spots with parking lots and picnic tables. Unfortunately the moose didn't want to enjoy the views... More

White Mountain National Forest is a great place to visit. We only had a day to spend there, and we wish would have stayed a week. It's full of hiking trails for everyone. If you like the outdoors, you'll love the White Mountains.

We absolutely loved our drive through the White Mountain National Forest and stopping many times along the way to take in the views. We were on a major road trip from Wisconsin and came down from Montreal. We decided to get off the interstate system and found this route instead. All of us were happy we did!

I drove to the Bethlehem area and through Franconia Notch and also up to the Bretton Woods area over a couple different days. As any national forest I have had the pleasure of visiting, this one has some great views and is very peaceful and tranquil. A good way to restore the soul a bit. I wish I had been... More
