Breathtaking views!! Can't wait to drive again! It ends at Yellowstone. So you either pay to enter the park. Or turn around . Yellowstone or the Beartooth was not in our travel plans but very very glad we saw both.

little scary of a drive in some parts, but it is so beautiful, and so worth it! Truley shows some of the best parts of "Big Sky" country.

I can see why this is referred to as "the most beautiful drive in America." It lives up to that claim. The views are spectacular. The lakes are beautiful. We saw mountain goats and marmots. Don't miss the short walk to the pedestrian bridge for a look at a powerful and magnificent Lake Creek Falls.

This was another of our favorite places to see on our 3500 mile trip. The views are beautiful. You feel as though you are on top of the world. The hairpin curves and steep inclines are exciting. Beautiful lakes!

Although we got to the top , by the time we reached the top they had closed the gate at the border!!!!! Due to snow and wind!!!! So we had a 120 mile detour to get to Yellowstone Park. It is a great drive with spectacular views on the way up at least. When we got out at the top... More

Driving from Billings, Montana heading to Yellowstone National Park everyone should take the this long slow drive ! Right from the start of the drive, seeing Mountain sheep at the roadside, we encounter nature at its best. Warning: the highway" SEEMS TO NARROW" as the 2 lane highway zigzags up the mountain. Those who are scared of heights may find... More

We drove up from Lake Lodge Cabins in Yellowstone all the way to Red Lodge and back so we could drive Beartooth. The drive and views exceeded everything we had heard and seen. Driving up from the lake in Yellowstone gives you a wonderful tour of Hayden Valley, Dunraven Pass and Mount Washburn and Lamar Valley - plus all of... More

What we saw on our short drive starting up the Beartooth was very pretty--for a few minutes. Then it started--the grey clouds and then the rain. Up, up, up we went. The more we went up, the colder it got as we watched our car thermometer drop degree by degree. And then it happened!!! Snow was falling on our car... More

We had never toured this way and thought we'd try it with the kids. Yes, an absolute must see for everyone!! The views are fantastic and there are many places to stop & take pictures. Plus, family snow ball fight at the top! Lol. Highly recommend this highway!! Plus, you can come into Yellowstone National Park from the North. Very... More
