Worth the hike!

I read reviews on here beforehand. I'm out of shape, have really bad motion/altitude sickness, and was a long time smoker (recently quit), so I was really worried about how well I'd do, but it wasn't as intimidating as the reviews made it out to be. I did fine and made the hike upward without even having to take my... More

A one mile hike thru rocky and dirt trail, the way there is a difficult mostly uphill terrain, there are 200 steps that finally lead to river and then another 40 or so that finally get you to the viewing area, very cool to see, stop at lower falls and cool off before climbing back up the 200 steps, once... Amazing site to see on the North shore. The hike, although only a mile long, is hard- a lot of uphill and down hill. Manageable, as we did it and we are out of shape, but the legs were like Jelly when it was done. You will be proud to have done the hike and rewarded with an incredible site!... More

1 hour from Thunder Bay I always wanted to visit this beautiful spot. It is definitely something that you have to see in your lifetime. Beautiful nature walk but a difficult hike in for people out of shape. It is worth the work just to be able see such wondrous beauty. I am so happy that I was able to... More

The hike to Devil's Kettle falls is one of the more strenuous hikes of the waterfalls along the North Shore. It's roughly one mile each way and that includes a lot of stairs. It's definitely manageable though as our 6-year old daughter managed it. The falls themselves are beautiful and interesting along with high falls which is just before the... More

it was a good break from driving. The falls were a lot bigger than they look in the picture. There was a huge staircase to climb but overall the hike was moderate difficulty. Would recommend

This is a very well maintained trail. The steps are not easy but just take your time and you will be ok. Not for small children. The view is amazing and worth the walk into the Falls. I would recommend this to anyone who has a few hours to take their time and just enjoy.

Be prepared because there are a lot of steps, but it's really amazing to see. Other than the large set up steps, it's a very easy trail and well kept.

We were doing a road trip around Lake Superior, (Great Vacation!). We stopped here to see some sights and do a little hiking. The park is off Hwy. 61 and very scenic. The trails are well maintained and signed. We did some hiking on some of the short trails and really enjoyed the park. One of the main trails here... More

This was a very cool waterfall located in the Judge C R Magney State Park. One half actually seems to disappear completely. Unfortunately you can't get a really good view of it from the trail. There is also a smaller falls along the trail that you can get very close too. Note however that if you don't like stairs don't... More
