This park is a hidden gem. I used to take my kids to the playground and kayaking on the lake when they were small. Every Christmas we would go an see the lights and now I do the tour anytime I have visitors. Last Sunday we did the hike around the lake which is the right distance with beautiful views... More

We drove 40 miles to take the kids to a place to see a lot of Christmas lights. The park is set up to queue a lot of cars when it gets busy so have to be patient if it is not busy and you drive through a maze of cones - this is actually for your safety to keep... More

Beautiful park with a circular trail around the lake. You can complete the trail in 1 - 1hr and 20 minutes depending on your pace and age. Exceptional colors during the fall that reflects on the water which creates great exposure for photography lovers. Unlike Virginia state parks, Seneca trails and hiking paths are less crowded and easy to navigate.... More

This was our first visit to Seneca Creek State Park in Maryland and the Cloppers Lake Boat Center on Lake Cloppers. We walked down to a floating pier and took photos of the lake. Picnicking, boat rentals, trails and a tire playground are just some of its recreational opportunities. Restrooms are available. (The dam was built in 1975 for recreation... More

My family spent a Saturday at this park recently and we were pleasantly surprised to find very affordable kayak, canoe and paddle boat rentals. I think I paid $9 for one kayak for an hour. They also had a pontoon boat tours for $2 per person. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon. Tip, grab an ice cream... More

I've been enjoying this park for years. During spring and summer the park has a boat rental center, pontoon boat tours for two dollars per person on weekends (reservations), kids fishing clinics and more. There is a number of trails but I would imagine the most popular one circles the lake. The lake is man made and there are lots... More

Visited the park for seeing the Winter lights and loved the experience. Kids enjoyed the drive through the park. Though we cannot get out of the car for the entire drive, kids can either use sun roof or stand in the front to enjoy the surrounding lights. Speed limit within the park is 20 and since everyone stops to take... More

We spend the early part of Christmas Eve doing the drive through the light display and it was great. Since it's a drive-through with no walking, it was perfect for my friends 90+ mother. Surprisingly it was not overly congested so there wasn't a wait on Christmas Eve.

The holiday light display at Seneca Creek Park is fabulous!!!! You stay in car and drive through. A great way for a family to share the holiday experience. price is per carload. The only thing that would make it better is if there was hot chocolate and cookies with holiday music at the end in a tent or something but... More
