Our group of 3 mid sixty year old couples, "green horns" spent 6 days and 5 nights on the Middlefork of the Salmon River with MFRT. The river sets the stage for a wonderful experience. It's fast, clear and beautiful. The guide crew with over a 100 years combined experience on the Middle Fork was outstanding. Their knowledge and obvious... More

We spent 6 days and 5 nights with Clint and Molly Frank's crew on the Middle Fork. Awesome!! 2 young boys (son and nephew), my brother and my parents (72 and 74 years old) and it was a ton of fun. Food was fantastic, scenery breathtaking, guides could not have been more helpful and congenial. My mother had her 72nd... More

Third float down the Middle Fork with MFRE. All the guides are very experienced with impressive knowledge of the Middle Fork as well as fishing, the nature along the journey and great in the kitchen. Two new guides (to me) on this trip: Bev and Blake; both fit in the team very nicely. The best reference I can give is... More

The crew we had -- Jonah, Sea Marie, Landon, Max, John, Kirk, and Julia -- were beyond phenomenal. They were amazing tour guides during the day and the coolest people to hang out with at night. The Salmon River sells itself -- what separates ROW is the group of guides we had. We brought our 3 kids (ages 11 thru... More

This was a reunion trip for several of my high school classmates. We all turned 60 this year. It was fabulous. Food was tailored to needs (i.e. gluten-free etc). Guides were outstanding. Scenery and activities cannot be described in words alone. Personally, I'm less than fit and haven't camped in awhile, but MFRE was very doable. I almost didn't get... More

We rafted the Middle Fork of the Salmon with Far and Away Adventures July 18-24, 2016. We had 11 in our group of friends, and there were 11 others from Seattle who turned out to have friends in common with us. The age range was from 14 to 63. The trip was a blast from start to finish. Our 8... More

Middle Fork River Expeditions (MFRE), owned by James Ellsworth, was incredible. I have run several rivers with friends who are guides, and I cannot speak highly enough of the caliber of guides working for MFRE. They were professional, fun, SAFE, personable, mature and just damn cool people. I enjoyed every moment of the experience. The service, accommodations, food and company... More

I did this trip 2 yrs ago & just when I didn’t think it could get better, they stepped their game up w/the new menu & the ability to fish off the back of the paddle boats put the icing on the cake for me. The seasoned guides (Jame & Eli) were just a great as the time before, and... More

We had a mixed crew, ages 16 to 70, on the Middle Fork this summer, and had the time of our lives. I have run a number of rivers with a variety of outfitters, and MFRE was hands down the best I have ever seen, on every score, from the obvious to the subtle. I'll run this river again, but... More
