We visited on an impromptu sneak get-a-way. We really didn't know what else to do in this town because it is not very much to do. We googled thing to do and this came up. Everyone talks about it and now we can too.

Brasstown Bald is definitely worth the walk to get up there. It's a steep incline up to the top but very well maintained trail and they also offer a free shuttle bus up and back down with paid admission.

We were there on a beautiful, clear day and we could see for miles. The observation deck is well maintained and they have a neat little museum on site as well.

It was too cloudy today to see anything, but I can't blame that on the park. The staff was very friendly. I hope we can return some day when it's clear. Also, if you do the National Park Passports, they don't do that since they...More
