My kayaking group has decided to paddle the Suwannee River in segments from the first launch site in Florida to the gulf. The river is beautiful, quiet and undeveloped (so far). The classic Suwannee River is just as beautiful as you would imagine. It was nice to actually have some time to stop and take a look!

Meet a bunch of friends at his house. Took a boat ride up to the head of the spring. Swam around in the spring and snorkeling. Decided to take a ride on a float pulled behind the boat, see who could stay on the longest.

I led a group of 25 people down the Suwannee River from Dowling Park, FL to Branford, FL. The river trail is well maintained and the ability to stay at the Suwannee Rivercamps for FREE is a bonus! The State of Florida has another hidden treasure, in the Suwannee River. My brother-in-law, and I (ages 70 and 63) just completed a 72 mile kayak trip, from Spirit of the Suwannee River Park to Bradford, Florida.
