Some buddies and I just went and climbed Mt. Harvard this past weekend, and the absolute beauty of the basin and peaks there is breathtaking (literally the wind made it a challenge to breathe). It's hard to find more beautiful mountain scenery than in Colorado, and the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness will not disappoint. We stayed for a weekend with friends at the Collegiate Peaks Campground and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Camp sites are spacious, and reservations are highly recommended as only 13 camp sites are first come, first serve; the rest require online advance reservations.... More

I had never been in the mountains-real mountains anyway. My wife and I spent our honeymoon on the Smokies and I've hiked sections of the Appalachian Trail.
