We found out about this wonderful drive through one of the park rangers on the first park we stopped to visit upon entering California from Oregon. It is best that you take your time driving here... the views are amazing and you can stop at any point to take pictures and walk among these wonderful millennial trees. It is a... More

Quite an experience. Fun to ride your bike on the ~30-mile road. Take a hike, relax and enjoy. The campground was not full, but we went back later in the summer and could not get a spot.

We pulled off to Avenue of the Giants on our way to Oregon. I am glad to have an opportunity to admire these awe inspiring trees that have been around for thousands of years. If these trees could talk, the stories will be fascinating. We made a stop at Leggit and paid $5 to go thru the tunnel tree that... More

Make sure you save a lot of time to explore here. Positively amazing. Was stopped by a local who explained more about the trails. For some reason everyone including the news expressed concern about the weather; it ended up not raining ha. This was my second time here, the first time we stayed at the cottages directly in the Avenue... More

The Avenue of the Giants is lke one huge serene park with the towering redwoods everywhere. We could stop along the road in many places and just get out of the car and walk among them. There was one we could actually stand inside and it is still growing!

This is one of my most favorite places. There is majesty and beauty in these groves of these mighty giants. Words cannot express how amazing it is to walk around under these trees. Pictures can only capture a smidgen of their magnitude. I’ve only visited in winter months and mostly it has rained. I love walking under these trees and... More

This was the purpose of our road trip. You can see incredible trees from your car but it's well worth it to step out into a grove or two or three. There are incredible sights within steps of parking in most places. Take the time to hug some of these beauties. It does give one a feeling of ones place... More
