So incredible to see in person. Wish we had more time to hike and explore. Too bad the bridge to get to the giants was already removed for the season.

An excellent place to feel the power of nature and make you feel rather humble. Give a tree a big hug and feel all the better for it.

Incredible scenery. We went from north t with and started the audio tour at #8. Great 3.5 mike hike, it was flat and beautiful. We didn’t do any more hikes, but stopped at the visitor center. Lots of good bro there.

We were heading north on the 101 and took this diversion onto the Avenue of the Giants. There are many places to stop and walk short distances into the forest and observe the amazing grandness of these ancient trees. There are a few stops for...More

Beautiful, peaceful drive thru the California Redwoods. Several places to stop for food, drink and souvenirs. Although there are many places to pull over and explore the forest, Founders Grove has a parking lot and a lot to see. Don't waste your money on the...More

Loved our afternoon traipsing through the Giants. We all ( including Mr Thirteen) walked away amazed at the size and age. So humbling. We stopped at all the points along the way and the facts made it all more remarkable. A giant has recently fallen...More

The Avenue of the Giants is a self-guided auto tour for 32 miles in the Humboldt Redwood State Park located south of Eureka (not to be confused with the Redwood National Park at north of Eureka though worth to visit too). It provides 8 stops...More

We stayed in Eureka which was about a half hour north of the Avenue of the Giants. There are several hotels there. The Best Western Plus Bayshore Inn was pleasant with a room by the garden area. Hope you have a lovely trip.
