We did some site seeing and hiking while driving through. We stopped at mammoth and were impressed by the offerings in this quaint little town. The fires were burning at the time but the time we were there was still awesome. There was even snow on the peaks in Late June.

While traveling had to stop and enjoy the park. Lots of options to pull over and enjoy the view. Great views, which change as you drive through the region via 395. Enjoy the scenery great place to stretch. Enjoy the peaks surrounding you.

This was an incredibly lovely spot. We got there a bit late but there was a very nice spot (#22) left. It was set apart with plenty of privacy and had a very nice setting with a lot of trees in the area. Star gazing is wonderful there and we had a beautiful sunset. One of my favorite campgrounds so far.

We returned to the Mammoth Lakes and June Lake loop area in the Inyo National Forest This time it was in June. Water levels in the lakes were good, The forests were beautiful, but some of the pine tree issues seemed to be showing up on the drive into June Lakee. Hope they can figure that one out. Overall, this is a fun area for year round outdoor activities.
