We took a water cab to Ship Cove and hiked the way back to Furneaux Lodge, roughly 13,5 km. There we were being picked up again. Of course this is only a part of the whole track. The part we did was rather easy, some...More

No words will describe, great older family walk. Pick the weather wisely, timing is crucial. Feb is a great time. Even saw a large pod of dolphins on our water taxi trip!

The QCT provides a combination of beautiful, varied tracks with awesome scenery and abundant birdlife. Weather can change rapidly so be prepared for several seasons in a day.

This was one of our best tramping experience in NZ. We are quite experienced in hiking and covering long distances but we never tramped overnight before until QCT. In 3 days, with 2 nights in DOC campsites we had lots of fun, adventure and enjoyed...More
