A unique journey from the charming shoreline village of Akaroa, up over the rim of an extinct volcano, past spectacular farmland and ocean views, and down eastern slopes to the Pacific Ocean. There, at the foot of one-hundred-metre cliffs, we will encounter an adorable colony of New Zealand Fur Seals, swimming and sun bathing amongst 8-million-year-old volcanic deposits.

Take one of the boats from Akaroa wharf and just go out into the harbour, you will not only see seals, but dolphins ,little penguin and sea birds. You can swim with the dolphins and experience close up.

Hi Kh Y Yes Where people find the walk difficult, I talk them on a shorter less arduous walk. Not quite as interesting in my mind, but not too bad. You will still see lots of seals. Best wishes Paul
