If you don't like rushed, impersonal, crowded and expensive tours then Akaroa Sea Ventures is for you. Abundance is the smallest, fastest and most affordable tour boat in Akaroa, which means you can venture further into the caves, closer to the wildlife and see more than on any other boat, for less money. Experience one of the world's smallest and rarest dolphins, the Hectors dolphin. Visit a seal colony and see penguins, albatross and a host of other sea birds.

Skipper Ray gives an excellent and enthusiastic commentary of the history and nature found in the Harbour area. The quietness of the sailing vessel allows for close encounters with the wildlife, especially the Hectors Dolphins. We were fortunate to have about 15 following the boat for several minutes. We would definitely recommend this tour over the powered vessel tours.

The guy who took the trip was friendly, professional and informative about the local area. Because the boat is small we were able to go right in to caves and we... More
