Well, what can I say. We visited Strbske Pleso in January 2019, just prior to covid. All ski runs were open, food places aplenty, fabulous snow conditions. We’re here again now- December 2022. What a change and not for the better! We paid full price for the ski lifts but for some not well explained reason, only some lifts are open. The two main chair lifts to Solisko are closed. Well, they’re running so you can go up but not to ski. So you’re limited to the small chair lift on the left, the large and little poma and that’s it. Very limited and soon gets boring, especially if you’re staying for 6 nights like we are. But of course, they don’t offer partial refund. Additionally to this, the lights around the lake are not working for most part (they used to) so if you want to walk around in the night, you can do so in the darkness). They will need to do a lot better here if they want to attract tourists; particularly international ones. Austria next door has far better conditions and for better price and quality too. I think this is our last time visiting this place.

In my opinion IT is most tourist area, i prefer smokovec or tatranska lomnica, but this place is in another tyle, there are note hotels etc. But hole city looks nice, IT is well suitated, on nice lake, with great trafiła around. Lake is avearge, on higer tatras you can see a lot better
