We started from train stop Popradské pleso and walked 4 km on asphalt route to Popradsé pleso lake. The real hike begins from there. This pace is not so popular, as the Rysy peak in nearby, but I recommend it, it's a long light walk, only the end is steep. Beautyful natureal sceneries and fantastic panorama. High Tatra mountais, as we love them.

The start point is adjacent the Hotel Patria and takes the trail to Popradske Pleso, if you find yourself at Hotel FIS, turn around as you missed the start point. The terrain to Popradske pleso is fairly easy going underfoot and a good pace will take around 35 min. From Popradske pleso to Hincove Pleso the terrain begins to get more difficult, the trails are well signposted and easy to follow. The final stage from Hincove Pleso to the peak is tough going and the last 150m involves some srabbling up the rockface however the hard work is worth it once you reach the summit. The view is amazing. A good steady hike, not for novices, mountain streams provide potable water, 8 hours is a fairly good time to complete the trail and arrive back in Strbske Pleso for a cold beer.

Koprovsky stit isn’t that famous as Rysy or Krivan but I highly recommend to go. You pass by Hincove pleasa (lakes), one of them is biggest and deepest in High Tatras. This can be final destination if you don’t feel to continue to Koprovsky. From Koprovsky is great view on Hincove but even better on Temnosmrecianske plesa. I recommend to start in Strbske pleso.

We climbed the peak in winter, made our own direct route. You need crampoons and ice axe. Don'forget your snow shoes - we left ours in the car, the snow above lake Popradske pleso is deap! You can make also a skitour - it's easier.

Beautiful landscape, went from Strbske pleso to Koprovsky štít and really enjoyed it! Not a hard hiking but you would need the whole day to do it up to the štít and back. Worth it!!
