Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First buy ticket online a week or more before entering.
Than you have ticket from skalnate pleso, so you have to be there on the reservation hour. Entering there (by cable linę) from tatranska lomnica town, także at least 1 hour, probably.even 1.5 hour (im high season).
If you are at Łomnica peak,i t is a great opportunit. You can't just walk on this peak (only by climbing). Great view for slovak and Polish mountain. You have about 40-60 min to see, than you have to rise down.
There bufet as well, do you can drink a coffe or smth else.

My thinking was that if I was going to the mountains, I might as well go straight to the top, so I booked the last leg of the cable car to go to the peak. It is busy, and I had a two-hour wait but that was worth it for the views.
When I was there, the weather changed from clear blue skies to clouds, which in itself was amazing. Apart from enjoying the views and refreshments in the bar/cafe at the observatory, there is not much to do and I had to wait 40 minutes to get back down as there is one cable car going.
Still worth the trip, though.

Never forget for this tour. Wonderful and breathtaking views. Of course it depends on weather, but it's great experience.

The observatory is a few stories high and build on top of Lomnicky Stit. If you are lucky and weather is favourable the view is absolutely breathtaking. We learned that it is possible to spend a night up there and watch the sunrise. It must be booked far in advance so we were out of luck.

It definitely helps if weather is sunny and you have good visibility. Views are amazing and 50 minutes stay is long enough to walk around and even try amazing hot chocolate and delicious strudel in the bar. The only negative is the price. We paid €88 for two tickets from Tatranska Lomnica to Lomnicky Stit.

Wonderful view over mountains. While I was there in was all inside clouds, but it was still scary as I'm afraid of hights.
There is a small bar on the top, mostly drinks.
NOTE! Eat on the lower levels before you come up, because the small bar up there serves mostly drinks. We (= all visitors during the time) got stuck there for three hours, waiting for a thunderstorm to pass, and I was very happy to have eaten before coming up. The staff took a good care of us, even serving free water to everyone, so there was nothing to be afraid of.

Awesome view offering wide view of the mountains. Make sure you check weather forecast in advance (even if, in these elevations weather changes so quickly) to have the benefit of the view. Small bar in the place. Smaill building fits exaclty the number of the people delivered by cable car. Sure worth to see if around. Place and connected walkways are properly barricaded so you can bring also your kids.

My visit was perfect. We had very good weather and very good visibility. It was also not so cold. The ride up is very fun. As you get upt, they will guide you up to the restaurant and from there you will get out to the fresh air. Can be challenging to your currage in some points (just the see-through floor). Worth of every Euro. Just one thing that bothered me: the restaurant with waiters in uniforms and wifi. Is that really needed? I was really excited to find real mountain hut and not five star restaurant...

Every time we visit Vysoke Tatry we try to get the tickets for cable car to the Observatory at the peak. It is such a rare attraction (great for mountaineering ,not possible to hike without skilled help) and unpredictable and fast changing weather that we were never able to get a tickets. Advice- ask your hotel personal for buying them ahead of your trip or try online shopping at least a week in advance. They have every day few spots reserved for online buy. There is almost no chance to get the tickets for the same day ride or the day after and you could get them ONLY in Tatranska Lomnica. Make sure you keep the receipt just in case the weather is bad and you want your money back. I saw some tourists having a hard time to return the cable car tickets without it. The tickets are not cheap but worth every penny if you are lucky to get them. You could easily take a cable car to Lomnicke Sedlo located right below the peak. It is absolutely amazing experience to see Tatras from so high. All the peaks and valleys you couldn't see otherwise. A MUST in Tatras.
