You can reach Barril Beach by an antiquated train, or walk the approximately one kilometre distance to the shore. Once there, at least two restaurants are available for meals or just a drink. And the beach is just beyond the dune --- pristine, lovely, serene.

Love beach to visit with children. Even in February it was warm and beautiful. We ended up going there twice because we liked it so much. The restaurants were also good. We took the train there and walked back.
