My family and I had the best time here , we couldn’t fault any part of our day !
On arrival to leaving the staff were exceptional , especially Hannah on the Skywalk who kindly went above and beyond to help my daughter gain the confidence to try the skywalk . Her gentleness and professionalism was simply lovely .

Would highly recommend this park , we look forward to returning again .

We visited with the family which includes 3 teenage boys. We chose the climbing wall and obstacle course. They didn’t like the climbing wall and honestly I wouldn’t put for it because it was like a five min experience BUT the obstacle course on the other hand was FANTASTIC and they had the best time ever.

Great experience today @ castlecomer. We booked the treetop walk for family of 4 to include two adults and 7 and 10yr old. The nerves v much got the better of the youngest but the staff were on hand and v encouraging …got through it eventually and smiles at the end…..surrounding area is lovely with plenty of walks and play areas. Just to note, parking is an add-on regardless of booking any activities. 10 year old described it as the highlight of his summer.

We stopped by here on the way home from a family holiday in Waterford. This was not the place to do so. We were 6 adults and 6 children. We would have had to drop over €350 for an activity that lasted max 2 hours. We did the pedalo boats with the kids though and that was good value. The walk was pleasant and lots of picnic areas (but few bins).

The hospitality was a joke. All young teenagers while very pleasant hadn't a clue. They were left to their own devices running a sandwich bar and coffee shop. The food was disgusting. The toilets were not the cleanest. Overall felt like nobody was in charge of the whole place.

My 11 year old son chose Castlecomer Discovery Park to celebrate his recent birthday with 9 of his friends and 4 adults and we ALL had a fantastic day out! From dealing with staff via email to initally organise the booking to the final wave goodbye at the park yesterday, the whole process was seamless and so well run.

The staff on arrival were very friendly and efficient. Our activities and their timings were confirmed, wristbands put on the boys and final payment completed within minutes of arrival. I had already completed the disclaimer paperwork prior to our arrival which possibly helped. We were also extended an invitation to use the large bench seated area in reception to have our packed lunch at once we had finished the activities and shown the cafe next to it should we need to purchase any teas/coffees. At the end of the activities we got caught in a heavy shower on our way back across the park so to have a space indoors to relax and eat was an absolute godsend!

We had booked the boys in for the Treetop Walk and Climbing Wall so we headed there first. The staff were ready and waiting to harness the children safely and explained clearly exactly what to do. One of the boys didn't want to do the Treetop Walk but he did want to try the Climbing Wall...there was no problem and no pressure. On the Treetop Walk some of the boys were quite scared initially but again directions and encouragement from the staff really helped. The sense of achievement on the faces of the boys once they had completed the course was priceless!

Next we all tried Archery. The same here, staff were waiting for us and clear, safe instructions were given before anyone tried the activity. We were split into groups for this one and the instructions repeated for each group which I was very impressed with. We had lots of fun and banter with the staff and everyone really enjoyed the activity.

We finished with the 4 adults getting harnessed up for the Zipline. Safety again was paramount here. We all got to the jump off point but only 2 of us actually went through with it...one being my 76 year old Dad! Legend! He loved it and had the walk back to the top not been so far am sure he would have done it again!!

All in all it was a really fantastic day out. The staff at Castlecomer Discovery Park are what makes this place so good. They knew their stuff, safety was foremost in their minds but so was accommodating our requests and ensuring everyone was having fun. The park is fabulous, lots of walking though so bear that in mind. The facilities within the reception building were perfect and very clean.

We spent about 4 hours here, from arrival to departure.

Great day out...highly recommend!

My family completed the 2 hours Skywalk ovwe 3 levels. The cost was 25euro each. It was on the pricey side but well worth it in the end. They completed all 3 levels. They were so tired after it!! It is a very well run place and staff are trained to a very high level. Parking over 1 hour costs 4 euro. We will return.

The team organised the most wonderful day for a family event. They allowed us access to the Upper Lake to launch a handcrafted kayak made by my father. The team, Jo, Stephen , Monique and the rest of the team were super, they looked after 40+people on the day. We hired one of the Domes and got caterers in for the event.

Boating and ziplines fantastic experience

Great day out at the park. We did the Octagon & Zipline package. The staff were very professional and friendly. They hooked us up to the harnesses and checked everyone was prepared and made us practice before we climbed on to the game. The Octagon was a workout trying to balance at a height. The zipline is great fun, I was nervous as I was due launch from drop off point, but the staff member was lovely, and she put me at ease. Once you get moving it is a thrill and over in a flash, but the views over the park as you move across it are beautiful. I can't wait to go back.

Hubby and I went with our teen and daughter in early 20s. On landing we thought it was just for younger kids but not so. We did one of the walks and thoroughly enjoyed it. We then went on the zipline. It was such fun. Then we ate our picnic in the courtyard being blessed with a lovely day. There is a restaurant but we were self-sufficient so just got coffees. Then we went to the museum. It is so interesting and so well presented. Our only suggestions would be to tell people to move to the next station as we sat and wondered the first time what we do next. Also the next station starts quite quickly once the previous one is finished and we wondered if our older rellies might have time to get to the next point on time if they had been with us.

My friend had booked the tree top climbing and zip line for our daughters 12 and 15 years old.

I was disappointed in that there was no supervision around the tree top climbing, at one point there were 4 girls on one platform and I had to ask staff to do something about it. Three of them were waiting to walk across a line to go on the zip line platform, but someone decided to to return to the climbing from the zip line platform . This should not have been allowed.

Except for one staff member who was with those waiting to go on the zip line, all other staff members were under the cover as it was raining at the time.
