Our tour was for about 3 hours and Joanna was great. Young, funny and so informative. We couldn't believe the history and learnt so much about the Salt mine. So much to see and we only covered about 1% of the mines. Thoroughly recommend it...More

Very expensive waste of time - nothing to see or experience. Very old fashioned manufactured tourist destination pushing through large groups to no purpose. To be avoided.

The museum is worth a look round as it's free if you've bought a general mine entrance ticket. It's got lots about the history of the mines but it's all covered in the tour. There are a few exhibitions with Polands history. It's all beautifully...More

Definitely worth a visit, the saltmines are fascinating, with an underground chapel which is still used and people can marry there The day we visited, a choir sang, so the acoustics are good. A highlight of our trip to Krakow

Very interesting guided tour of the museum. Highly recommended as the price was included in main ticket. Lasts perhaps 1 hour.

I highly recommend to use one more hour in the mines and visit this museum. It is very informative, you learn more about the mining techniques and about life of miners as well.

Glad I went here, was a really good tour with lots of information. Amazing how much work they have put into decorating the mines, carving out ornaments, statutes and so forth. The scale of the mine is huge(total of 2000km with tunnels), the tour goes...More

If you have booked your visit independently, ensure you book a translator for the visit. We were very fortunate on the day we visited as we were the only 2 English speaking tourists so we had the guide to ourselves. There is a long descent...More
