I could take or leave the overall tour but the light show, despite being devoid of actors, dialogue or plot, was honestly the most memorising, psychedelic, and spiritual experience of my life. I would encourage anyone to visit solely to witness this journey into the...More

Loads of steps down at the beginning. Wasn't too bad though. Our tour guide was brilliant. He has the best and most dry sense of humor ever!!! Top marks for him!!! Some amazing views to be seen. Absolutely stunning!

I traveled with a group, so we got a guide to guide us through the mines. 1. The guide was perfect. When you are telling a story, it must be told in interesting way, only facts or blunt story is boring. The guide, like i...More

Wonderful visit to one of the oldest and most famous salt mines in the world. Be prepared to go down many steps to start your tour but, once inside, there are some impressive salt sculptures inside. Note: clean bathrooms both outside the entrance and in...More

We were a little nervous about this visit as there are an awful lot of steps down into the mine, and we were concerned about getting back out. However, the good news is that there is a lift at the end of the visit, and...More

Great tour, well organised, definitely recommended. Involves lots of walking and lots of steps. Some of the rooms and grottoes were awe inspiring. The best thing was that you could just give the walls a little lick as you walked by as everything is made...More

We went for a city break and booked this excursion through our hotel. Picked up in a mini bus and taken to the salt mine where we were allocated a guide who with the aid of a headset took us around about 1 percent of...More

We visited the salt mines after visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau. It was a long day and our tour started at 6 PM and lasted 3 hours. Our guide was very good and interesting. The mines are beautiful and certainly worth a visit. Highlight is the main chapel...More

At 84 zloty I thought the salt mine tour was a bit overpriced (in comparison to regional prices e.g. Auschwitz). The English speaking tour despite being every half hour was extremely crowded (over 30 people) and the headsets are very old and didn't work the...More

A very well run attraction. Worth a look. Extensive points of interest throughout and cameras allowed if you purchase a 'pass'. Group tours only. Plenty of steps to keep you fit.

We bought our tickets in Krakow a couple of days before we went. No problems, and it was in the busy period.

Hi Jane, I was also a bit worried ,as I am claustrophobic, but it's fine. The tunnels are quite high, and well lit , and some of the rooms, like the church are enormous. The lift is also quick ,about 30 seconds. It really is... More
