A bit blah....
Aug 2019
Visited here recently with my Czech wife & to be honest, unless you're a brewery buff the tour is a bit blah. Not that interesting to read my English handout & follow the Czech tour around some stainless steel above ground vats & then below ground pipes (100km+) & stuff.

Really enjoyed the Supina restaurant next door though, do try the Carp & Mash!

If you are in this area and old breweries are your thing or you simply like a good beer and wonder how its produces then this is a must. Very very informative.

Probably the oldest brewery in Czech. Very nice trip and very good beer. Must to see for beer geeks. :)

Nice and not to long

We had a tour with tasting of beeres at the end. The tour takes place every second hour, costs 150 crowns per adult and lasts around 40 minutes, tasting included. The interior of the brewery is very nice and the guide provides you with lots of technical and historical information, but also with additional interests. The tour is beended by a tasting of two beeres, which were very good. Take something warm on, it is quite chilly down in the cellar.

Great place to sit outside.

The beer is the main draw here although it has a good indoor restaurant. The beer is superb and really worth trying. The service on the terrace is by going to the bar which is run efficiently. Great place to sit!

Very nice and friendly brewpub! Busy but I still got some help in English picking amongst the offerings. Good wifi! Mostly just cool to be drinking great beer in a brewery with such history. A suit of armor adds to the atmosphere. Many locals enjoying the brews!

Lunch at the taproom

We didn't have enough time for the brewery tour unfortunately. But we walked the grounds a little and had lunch at the onsite restaurant. We had garlic soup and a cheese plate and it went perfectly with the beer. Sad to have missed the tour of such historic place.

Nice music on Friday evening

Nice big open discs to sit outside the brewery. There is a DJ playing music of Friday evenings, nice fun atmosphere. Just next to Svet lake, great place to stop by after a run.

Brewery Visit
Sep 2012 • Friends
We just had to visit a brewery in Czech and we came across this one. We got a tour from an older employee and after the common beer-brewing introduction the nice part came. He explained us the number indication present on the Czech beers and that it stands for the amount of sugar in the Beer. So in the end we had to follow our guide into the cellars were we saw the big steel vessels, holding the beer. He gave us a try and that was good. However there were more beers in stock so we had to try them all. Concluding we had a nice experience and we now our Czech beers now.
Just joining such a tour should be common practice for your trip to Czech
