Exciting and interesting ski museum

We visited the Ski Museum in Tatranska Lominica and were suprised by the ski history of the area and all the different effects disposed at the museum.
Both adults and teenagers were amazed.
We did not know all the history of skiing as well as other snow activities in the Tatra mountains.
Well worth a visit

I was on my way to Hotel Lomnica when I passed ths ski museum with my car. I was really interested going there so later that afternoon I went back. It's worth going there because it is really full of history of ski. I even saw those types of skies that my grandpa used to use when he was a young boy in the 1940's. If you have time please go there either if you are a ski fan or not!!!!!

We saw Ski Museum during our walk and told to ourselves why not. Honestly speaking, we expected traditional musem but this one took our breath. Entrance fee was low, you get also the nice postcard with it. We entered to the large space and we just stopped for a few seconds being amazed what we saw. A lot of original objects, clothes with description, even TV on with ski events from the past. We learned a lot and we were really happy that something like this exists! Definitely recommending to visit. There is also a little cafe but we did not try this time. Next time for sure! Thank you!

We visited this museum after skiing day in Tatranska Lomnica ski resort.
This place has good relaxing atmosphere. Exhibition is interesting and has lot of extra information write on the posters next to showpieces. Information is available in local language and in english. Also there is about 20 ... 30 min movie playing about same things what are exposed, with extra information. If You have time You can learn there a lot of about skiing history in Slovakia and even more. Definitely worth to visit.

Such a wonderful museum… u just have to dive in the history of ski/winter sports in the region. It’s a small place, but definitely worth paying a visit. Stay and see the movie is rolling inside, you’ll be astonished about all that info and the way people used to spend their time in the past. Sport was such an important part of life and they really appreciated it and enjoyed it.

Not only museum, but also good small cafe
Dec 2016 • Solo
The small, but nice ski museum presents lots of pieces of sports history in High Tatras, where myself and my family were part of it. But this is not only a museum, worth visiting when weather does not allow for hiking, but also nice small cafe with delicious Lavazza and poppy seeds strudel. And if you come shortly after opening, you have good chances to see a living legend in mountaineering and ski alpinism.

Lot of exhibits on the relatively small area
Jul 2016 • Family
If you are interested in skiing - the this museum is definitely fo you. A lot of exhibits from the skiing history - including leisure, sport and work related ones. Additionally - you don't need a lot of time for a visit, as the area is not large - however they managed to place numerous exibits there.
