Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful little fairy tale town, lots of hotels and pubs. Due to public holidays unfortunately all the shops and restaurants were closed. Lots of families with young children playing in the square. There are plenty of places to eat when they are open. However, not many vegetarian/vegan options

You can walk here from the centre of Poprad, about a 15 minute walk, lovely old town, beautiful old buildings with different architecture, very peaceful and quiet, almost like a ghost town but there lots of B&Bs/Pensions and restaurants there too, also various info panels, in English too. Do also recommend visiting the church, it has lots of important, historic artifacts, one of the most important and oldest churches in Spiss.

The old town of Poprad is really lovely and very authentic albeit small and compact and without anything of major significance in terms of attraction. It's simply a genuine little old town and makes for a great wander if you're staying locally or a good walk from the new town centre (25-30 minutes). There are various pensions and a number of restaurants together with a small museum, but fundamentally it's just a nice place to while away a little bit of time to walk around.

Lovely place to wander around and take photos. The information centre in the middle of the town square provides lots of information about the history of the old buildings. There are plaques giving further details on individual buildings and the church and bell tower are well worth visiting too. There is a little land train that runs regularly from the square into Poprad central that is fun to ride too.

You can find a church and a town-hall in the middle of the square. and in the upper part luxury houses of local patricians while in the lower part some smaller houses which were used by traders and craftsmen. Wonderful place to visit - by taxi from Poprad downtown it is rather cheap.

The sleepier little town of Spisska Sobota adjacent to the city had a more picturesque old town that was worth a kilometer hike. As it was practically devoid of life, it was a good photo stop.

Special place, where time does not matter. I just enjoyed the beautiful architecture of thussmall town with its history. If someone is in Poprad or Tatry, he should visit also Spisska Sobota.

We visited during an unusually cool day for the time of the year, but still you could appreciate the beauty of the main square. There are cafés and restaurants that lined the square which I would imagine are a good place to energise before continuing to explore
