About
Monument reminds battles of World War II and indicates breakthrough of Soviet forces. Narva’s tank is the only such memorial, being exhibited in Estonia until this time.

Hmmmm! What a shame that our government took on the dead people, instead of thinking how to sort out the situation with our power supply to be cheaper for winter, which is not over the hill. I am disgusted by the fact what happened to our T34. What for? To get everyone angry? After what I saw with T34, I am sure you made us even stronger, we will get together. No doubt!
Leave the dead people there they are. You didn't. They will follow you, do you know that? If you don't believe that, you will know soon enough!
Thank you for reading that.
I was born in Narva and my daughter too.
I don't accept this actions with ammunitions and baraclavas on and 2km surrondind so no one can say a word or interfear.
Estonia is not a democratic country as it says . My country is not what I was thinking of. I am so ashamed.
I cried when I saw the tank going. Every single married couple used to go there after marriage to put flowers at the tank.
You distroyed that tradition.
How dear you!!!!
I have no words!!!!

It is now GONE and should have been removed in 1991. Eesti remains Independent and looking forward to the future without Russian oppression.

As the plaque says that Soviet troops liberated Estonia from the fascist Germans … what it doesn’t say is that it ended up in soviet occupation of Estonia and lot of sufferings for the Estonian peoples. This symbol of occupation will be gone in the next two weeks and rightly so.. should have gone long time back

Some 1,750 Estonians were killed as a result of resistance to Soviet troops, and some 7,450 Estonians were killed during the Soviet occupation. Some 10,200 Estonians were deported to labor camps in Siberia on June 14, 1941 (some 5,700 of the deportees died during detention).

T-34 Tank memorial from WWII showing where the Red Army crossed into Estonia in 1944. This medium size tank was one of the mainstays for the Soviet military from 1940's-1960's and some are still in use around the world. Nicely kept memorial and view of the Narva River that separates Estonia from Russia today. In 2019 a movie was made called T-34 and features several of these tanks if you want to see some of what these machines can do.

That the tank still stands here, is a reminder to the Russian character of the Narva area.
Soviet Red Army troops crossed on this place the Narva river in February 1944 and a whole new history started in Estonia.

No, you can't get inside, but many people climb on top of it. Nice place to stop on Tallinn - Narva road and take some cool pictures.

The T-34 tank is a monument where you can have a short and informative stopver.
It's located on street 91 between the city of Narva and Narva-Jõesuu.
In World War II, troops of the Red Army crossed the Narva-river at this point.
Today it's the only existing tank monument in Estonia which has been preserved.
