About
Fama is the name of one of Narva’s bastions.Built in 1690, it comprised a yard and surrounding rooms in which there were workshops, smiths’ stores, stables, barns and prison facilities. It was demolished to make way for the trade route to Europe. It is the only bastion in the city that no longer exists. However, in its place has sprung up a brand new shopping complex. ‘The rebirth of history on the trade route’ was the idea behind the project.

There were several shops I visited, I found nice handbags with reasonable price, pretty costume jewelery in the lobby area and good grocery store i.a. Good location near my hotel and long shopping hours including the special shops.

Picked snack from Rimi. Good takeaway. Seems to be an Average shopping center, Rimi as main store. Nothing special.

Good offers at the supermarket though most people do not speak in English, helpful though in Russian

96% of the population in Narva is Russian. This Fama centre is airing adverts in Russian. Did not meet a single Estonian until day four. Products are not cheap though there is a good choice and lovely shopping for people who want to fetch local products and some Russian products.

There is a lot of practical shops. Rimi is big enough.

Fama has good location in Narva. A lot of parking places underground and in front of the building. Many nice shops and cafe. And this shopping center has 5D Virtual reality machine!!! :D

This shopping centre is good for everybody to visit. There are wide-range stores (garments, electronics, pet shop etc.), restaurants, cafes, entertainment for children, and supermarket downstairs. There is parking place in front of mall entrance.

Some clothing shops, farmacy, turist info (Small). Upstears couple of restaurants and hamburger place. Downstairs big Rimi for crouseries. This is nearest place to buy food, if you live near river bank area.

I'm a person who "hate" shoppingmalls, but even I have some exceptions and this could be one. Maybe it's because I found a former Swedish store On-Off, I have to admit that I get surprised to that this electronic store /chains had get a rebirth in Estonia so a visit was necessary. I even found the Norwegian supermarket store RIMI with all their products from the Swedish company ICA. So from that point of view I liked this place.

Fama is a small shopping centre in the middle of Narva it has a reasonable selection of shops from a good supermarket to an outdoor supplier with barbecue stuff etc.
Its very clean and has a bank with ATMs but sometimes awkward to access the security door if its not your bank.
Parking is underground or plenty of outside parking spaces so you don't have to walk far.
It was very useful for my hotel that was just a few minutes walk away.
You wont spend the day shopping here but might find what you are looking for due to the selection of shops.
