Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Did a day trip from Tallinn to Narva. Walking on the River Promenade was the BEST part of my day trip to Narva. I could have spent 2-3 hours just walking around and exploring the many side trails/paths beyond the paved promenade. Do not miss walking south towards the boardwalk towards the hydroelectric dam.

I would say that this is the main reason to visit Narva - see the Russian and the Estonian cities meet on the river. The location amazing, the forts are super impressive, it is clean, well maintained and has incredible views that differ from each angle. Highly recommended.

Beautiful walk along the Narva River. Great views of both Narva Castle/Fortress and the Russian Fortress too. Several people were fishing and wading in the warm autumn day sun. A really nice pathway for a walk or run.

It was not easy to find, a relatively anonymous sign led us down the stairs and into a cozy room. We found a table inside, and the service was welcoming, although we "just" had a couple of glasses of beer, which gave us a pleasant surprise when it came to the price. Really only positive things to say about Karja Kelder ...

There is some magic in these Estonian river side cities - Narva river with the Russian castle on the opposite bank of the river is magnificent. I spent here several hours taking pictures and enjoying the Autumn sun and watching anglers (or fly-fishers) try their luck catching fishes on both strands of river Narva.

Narva will not win a price for its town beauty, but the promenade gives the city a new vibe. It is a very pretty area with views of the castles on both sides of the river and the bridge that connects Russia with Estonia. There are benches, fountains, statues and flowerbeds. At the end is a beach with a very modern beach house that has won an award for new architecture integrated in the landscape.

On a good weather it is a very nice walk and place to admire the other side of the river (Russia already). When you are lucky you might find a musician playing :)

Very popular with locals and visitors. Stroll along the banks of the Narvajogi and look across to Russia. This riverside attraction has themed areas for all the family to enjoy such as the Swedish Terrace, Dahlberg Stage and Squares of the Sun featuring a sun-clock. There is a café and many recreation areas as well. The Promenade is safe and leads to Narva's quaint harbour.

What makes this promenade special is that it is on the banks of a river that separates Estonia from Russia. There are great castles on both sides of the river which makes the scenery absolutely awesome and especially if you are a history buff like me. I visited the promenade in autumn and that was really good timing. Start the walk from the Swedish Lion Statue as the views from there are even more grand.
