This was one of the highlights of our trip. A wonderful display of local produce spread over 4 massive hangars. It was a feast for eyes, with the golden and silver fish, wonderful meats, colourful vegetables etc. A definite must!

Gives an insight into life in everyday Riga and what the local delicacies are. Not one of the wonders of the world but worth a visit if in the area. A good use of old Zeppelin Hangars.

Be sure to checkout the local market. Try the local pastries and buy some salted fish with bread. Cheap and tasty!

Apart from some architectural value of the market's buildings there's absolutely no point in going there. Unless you're looking to buy local fish preserves or caviar. Overall a great disappontment.

This is probably one of the best markets ever! There is so much to choose from, so many fresh and local products. Truly magnificent, and at least for us it was a great way to spend time! I would definitely recommend to pay a visit here when visiting Riga.

I was fascinated by how the segragation was done. Vegetable section, meat, fish, sweets, etc. It supports local sellers to market their goods and fresh produce. Bought bread varieties with meat and cabbage stuffings. Very delicious. Also available is a wide selection of locally produced honey.
