The markets has it all, food, fish, fruits, arts and crafts and heaps more. Prices are as marked and price reduction discussions is not a practice conducted at the markets. Heaps and heaps of stalls, and is extremely popular with the locals.. The markets are...More

I visited the Central Market while on a walking tour. The guide explained that old Zeppelin hangars were repurposed to build the market and it really shows! The market is a great place to find local food, both to buy and to eat on the...More

It’s the same in every booth, cheap clothing with poor quality and lots of meat in all shapes and sizes. Did not feel safe here, many poor people and drifters it felt like. Not sanitary the way the food was handled and stored. Lots of...More

Seriously, you can literally find any kind of food there. The fish sections are super great as well. Highly recommended.

A huge market (only during morning) with many different shops, with nice food/goods, organized around 4 main halls + exterior market. Many plants and flowers outside.

Many halls for fresh vegetables, berries, meat, cheese and flowers. We toured few of the these halls, just glancing around, not exactly buying anything. The building itself isn’t much to see but if you’re in the neighbourhood, pay a visit.

Centralatirgus is the largest open market or market of its type in Europe. It is a fantastic place to go even if you're not doing the weekly shopping just for the sights and smells of fresh produce. When the weather is not too cold, the...More

Yes, the market is open every day. It is an amazing awesome place and is a MUST visit on a trip to Riga. Easy to fine behind the main railway station.
