Nice statue on top of the roof

This cat house is located in the Old town of Riga and it is within walking distance from major attractions. A must see for tourist.

walking around riga old town you come across the cat house , what is the cat house , why are there two cats on the roof and have they always faced that way , take a tour and find out why it is fun

You can easily miss this building by noticing the casino neon signs, but then you notice the cats, good history!!

Well apart from the iconic cat on the roof and the story behind it, there's actually nothing to see there. But it's located in the Old Town, so it's alright to see it on your way to another place.

The Cat House is not anything particular unless you know the story behind that cat on the top. It apparently was 2 Business men that were competing and could not stand each other. So the one owning the house put that sculpture of the cat lifting its tail and showing its butt pointing in the direction of the office of... More

There is a story about the cats on the top of this building, it's been mentioned before so I won't repeat it. It's very easy to miss so just look up, there is a casino in the bottom of this building and not much more, during Christmas there is a small market in the open square by this building.

Old school yellow building on the corner of the market. A huge fuss about it which lead to a disappointment - there is nothing to see.

Yellow Art Nouveau building in Meistaru iela 19. Easy to miss, has two cats on the roof! Worth a visit just to see the cats.
