Latvian National Theater is really National, as this is also the place where the Independence of Latvia announced on the 1918. Performances are for different tastes. The new stage became quite popular also!

Beautiful restored building with some amazing features, has some great shows but probably worth booking before you travel, you can visit the web site prior and collect tickets at the box office.

This is a picture of Latvian National Opera but not the Latvian National Theatre.... Does not make any change in rating if the issue is about the building itself. But if performance being rated then it is much different (Opera *****, Theatre ***)

Hi. You have a photo from National Opera house in a place of National Theatre. National theatre is one of eldest theatre houses in Latvia what was built as theatre and never use for other purposes. If you like traditional theatre it's a place.
