You have to pay entry even if you don't want to go up the tower - which you should definitely do. I think they charge 3€. The church sadly burned out while the 2nd WW ,that's why the windows are very simple and the interior...More

First mention of the St. Peter's Church is in records dating to 1209. The history of the church can be divided into three distinct periods: two associated with Gothic and Romanesque building styles, the third with the early Baroque period.

It liked the idea of the church to exhibit works of art. This place combines meditation with beauty.

Not much to do inside the church, but the view from viewing platform is marvelous, but keep you cameras and phones properly because the wind is very strong there. And we saved 50% of entrance fee with Riga card (4.5 euro instead of 9 euro).

Well worth a visit. very popular place to see. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby too. Very central in old town Riga.
