Modern-looking museum, free entrance when we went, interesting exhibition on Jurmala's history, and contemporary Latvian art upstairs. A bit small exhibition, though. The staff was friendly, they opened us the museum shop. They speak very little English.

Centrally located just a few minutes walk from borh the train station and Jomas Street this museum is well worth a visit. Downstairs are exhibitions on history of Jurnala as a resort mirroring the changing times in Latvian history. There was also a small supplementary...More

Although it was free entrance, I expected to see much more information. Also, there was a school party on the first floor so very noisy and echoy

This is a small, well-presented museum that tells the story of the Jurmala sanitorium industry in a succinct, yet interesting way. From the early days at the turn of the nineteenth century to the growing popularity when the railway network was connected in the 1870s...More

We had't planned to visit the museum but the frosty weather encouraged us to warm up a bit and look what the exhibition can offer. We were expecting a couple of small, dusty, old-fashioned rooms with old photos and what we've found was surprisingly different!...More

This is a fun and interesting museum showing past times in Jurmala, and there are some opportunities for interesting photos too.

Spend an hour browsing what is was like when spas were fashionable. A/C and clean toilets so worth the time.

It's a rather small Museum, but I must say, VERY nice, a a lot of atention to detail. Show the pride in doing things right, and that class over-rules "fluff" in presenting a city as it was and is. Have a great lunch across the...More
