You can spend a nice hour strolling down here, taking in one of the many many cafes and restaurants, having a nose around the tourist merchandise huts, fancy clothing shops, or simply watching the world go by. We heard a lot of Russian, Latvian (obviously),...More

If this is the mail street in Jūrmala, it says A lot... not many people in the streets. Not a single smile to see among the people walking by. Few stores, not any relevant for example for buying clothes.

Jomas Iela is the lovely main street in Jurmala, where you'll find restaurants, bars and shops. It's lined with the pretty wooden buildings that are all around Jurmala and there are no cars. 💯

I have been here in February with the cold. The atmosphere is totally different in spite of Summer, of course. Personally, I don't find it is anything special here.

In summer we queed in line for 20 min to get sandwich. In early spring we were walking for 20 min to find open snack house to get to eat something.

Just opening for the season when we visited. Plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from and I would think it's busy in the season. We had lunch for three at one of the open restaurants and it was fine.

This is the most popular street for tourists in Jurmala. Seaside very close to it. A big number of small restaurants with different kitchen and reasonable prices
