About
The park is suitable for both: admirers of active and calm recreation. There are children playgrounds for all age groups, road for roller skating and pedestrian roads, cafes, parking lot and toilets in the park. The park is opened all year round. In winter park is an excellent place for distant skiing on a lighted trail. The access is very convenient; there is a parking place for 200 cars at the park. In 2010 a panoramic tower was opened here. The tower is 33, 5 m high and it reveals unforgettable view of Jurmala. The tower has 12 balconies on different levels so everyone can choose the height.

Dzintari Forest Park is an average sized park in Jurmala. It's a pretty place, set amongst the trees. There are boardwalks set up to wander the forest. As a solo visitor I liked the park for that.
Had I been a kid still, however, I would have been in my element. There are so many activities for kids in the park. Electric cars, climbing frames and a huge complex of rope bridges and platforms suspended from the trees. It cost money but the kids, suspended by a guide rope could make their way around.
The park is worth a wander if you visit Jurmala. I suggest anyone visit Jurmala anyway, it's a lovely place

First we walked along the beach, which was half snow and half sand and then cut inland to this beautiful park. It was beautiful in the snow. Particularly liked the wooden paths, the walkway that went up in the air, the beautifully maintained and very modern toilet block and the terrific coffee vending machine!

This forest park is a great place for both lovers of active recreation, and also for those who prefer a leisurely stroll enjoying the air filled with the scent of pines.

The most valuable asset of this park is the 200-year-old pine grove and protected habitats, which have remained intact to this day.

Here you can find a viewing tower, playgrounds for children of various ages, pavements for roller skaters and pedestrians, a skate park, streetball courts, and cafes.

The adventure park “Jurmalas Tarzans” is located here with five obstacle tracks provided for recreation of both adults, and children.

Cross-country skiing is available in winter. In winter, the forest park turns into the Park of Light offering a magic atmosphere created by thousands of LED lights.

We came here on what was quite a wet day with our 4 year old son. We did the forest nets, and had an hour session. We were lucky to have the activity to ourselves, and we had the best time. We all laughed, ran, played and enjoyed the nets so much. We only got off because we were exhausted. Such a lot of fun and perfect for any age. The forest park itself is nice and quite with lots to do, and a small shop for refreshments. The toilets are a long walk which was a pain with having a small child, but the facilities were spotless. My husband went up the tower and enjoyed this.

We visited here for the observation tower while on a day trip to Jurmala. The park itself was nice and quiet, plenty of seating around.

It was a clear day so offered great views. Unfortunately I'm scared of heights and only managed to get 3/4 of the way up, but my husband went to the top to take photos. He said it was very windy at the top and it made the tower sway, so may not be the best place of you're scared of heights like myself.

Nice stroll through the park, visited during winter, weather was sunny but cold. Lovely for photos of the trees, climbed the observatory tower (only stairs, no lift as I noticed), toilets could be used in the entrance of the park for free (very clean). Eating stalls were closed but it was super calm so I loved it. It is close to the shiny and colorful Orthodox church.

Take the train from Riga - it's less than
€2 for a ticket and you can stroll through this little forest. There's plenty of small activities you can attend if you want.
