Being in the remote location of Europe, site has preserved unique evidence of living history of industrial era. It is opened to visitors since late 2012. Factory uses technologies invented in 1794 and all of them will be demonstrated. Site gained prestigious 3rd place award in the European Cultural Tourism network (ECTN) contest “Destination of Sustainable Cultural Tourism – 2015″ and is highly favored by its guests. Factory is closed to guests during actual manufacturing times.

We enjoyed the interresting excursion on the production of lead bullets in this still working, but soon to be a museum, factory. The guide gave the tour in Latvian and specially for the two of in English. He manager very well to keep the attention...More

Surprisingly interesting and funny tour thanks to guide Pavel. Interesting details about factory's everyday life, events during museum night and tours. You won't regret this tour.

This place should visit those who wants to understand what means added value of live story. Itself place seems nothing interesting, but the story our guide told us did change everything. Interactive things is great, but still cannot compete with humans. :) Our visit ended...More

Ticket cost 4€ per person and additional 1.5€ if you want to go to the top of tower. Tours in different hours are in guided different languages: in latvian or in russian / english.
