Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The old anatomical theater inside wasn't open when I visited (perhaps because of mid summer hours), but the building itself is worth a stop, with its wonderful, classical, Palladian lines. One of the most attractive buildings at the university.

Authentic anatomic theatre with astonishing collection of pathological anatomy samples is the best in Nordic and gives one an overview of medical profession in the bygone era.
When you plan your visit be sure to check that the place is open. It is at the moment under renovation and the collections are in somewhat reduced scale visible at AHAA science center.
However, it is planned to open soon as a science popularization center of Tartu University.
Still, if you ask nicely enough you can get a peak even now.

This is a beautiful old building owned by the university. Next to the anatomical theatetre you can still see the old morgue cellars. They look like old bomb shelters, but blocks of ice used to be cut out of the river and stored in here to keep bodies cool through the summers.

This site is located within Toome Hill park. At present, the building is under renovation so the exhibit is closed. I was told that maybe it would reopen at the end of the year. Nevertheless, some of the exhibits can be viewed if you go to the AHHAA Science Centre while they make the renovation.
