About
Located in an old wooden building in the heart of Tartu’s Old Town, the Toy Museum transports its adult visitors back to their most joyous childhood days and offers children plenty to see and do. The permanent exhibit displays toys that children in Estonia have played with throughout the ages. The display also includes artist-made dolls, souvenir dolls from around the globe and traditional Finno-Ugric toys. The museum has play and workshop rooms, and the exhibit rooms also offer plenty to keep one busy. Alternating exhibits and children’s activities are organized at the museum. In Theatre House there is a theatre stage, Children’s Studio, and dollhouse museum. Theatre House is a unique theatre which gets its inspiration from the Toy Museum, childhood, games and memories.

It will definitely be interesting for parents to look for their toys.
Hopefully the whole thing will increase even more, because I didn't find any of my dolls, probably the selection of dolls was quite large back then.
The child had also interesting time there, he thought that the children back of the old times had more interesting games.
I would invite everyone who has old toys at home to donate them to the museum. There were also newer toys and playrooms for smaller ones which are a good idea.

A great exhibition of toys from all over the world. A real chance to get back to your childhood and find toys you played with.

A nice museum, brings back memories when you see the toys you had in your childhood :) It's quite small, it took us about 30 minutes to go through. A lot of dolls, several board games you can play, a small playroom for kids. Worth a visit if you have a spare hour but not necessarily a must in Tartu.

This is a wonderful place for all, who like(d) to play. An exposition of toys from different eras and a fairly comprehensive show of Barbies. Reserve an hour to see everything.
A playroom for kids up to 5-6 years.
Ticket for a child 5€ and grown-up 6€. Family tickets available.

I had a date there and we both loved it. Really liked the interactive parts where you could play some games. Because it's so big, we didn't go to the other building but I remember that one from my childhood. I recommend to take some time to visit it.

This museum was interesting. Several toys of my time were there and that I once had. I was able to show the child what kind of gifts was given to me by the elf or what I got for birthday. There were also modern toys.
