I really wouldn't call this a museum but it has a small collection of dolls. Photos can be taken and your viewing will take no more ten minutes.

Total creepy fun place but 5 euro each for about 5 min of stuff is a little much...but you can take pictures.

this is right in the middle of Catherines passage. the approach is hardly that of a museum. the collection is small but well kept. one will mostly find Russian dolls.

The museum is quite small you will not take long to see all the collection but the dolls are really interesting and unusual.
The entrance fee is €3 for children and €5 for adults but they also offer a family ticket for €8. I went with my wife and we were suggested the family ticket so €8 is the maximum you are going to pay.

I loved the place as it occupies one of the oldest buildings in Tallinn. It's worth visiting just for the sake of seeing the building from the inside. The only possible limitation was that the exposition itself is upstairs on the 2nd and 3rd floor, so you have to take the stairs.
Alternatively, you can buy a doll-friend for yourself on the 1st floor of the building after seeing the art doll exposition.

If you like art, it is definitely worth a small entrance fee. Dolls are simply amazing and charming!

It's also peculiar that there is one of the grande art doll international expositions held annually in May in Tallinn. Why not cover both?

Worth of visiting even dolls are not your number one hobby like for me. These dolls are more like art than just toys. Oldest were around 1550 so there is a lot of history behind also. And the building is cute mediveal one and the views from the uppert floor are nice over the roofs the sorrounding buildings!

Walking on the nice old St. Catherine street we spotted this doll shop and went in. We are not fans of dolls whatsoever but our curiosity was picked by a huge doll of a Duchess from Alice in the Wonderland on the 1st floor and decided to try the "museum". The entrance fee was around 10 euro for a family. The museum is very small just two small floors above the ground floor. They are full with handmade artistic dolls collected by the house owner, and apparently she has a good taste. Unexpectedly instead of cute and kitschy many dolls were very interesting and had a unique character. Apparently this is an emerging art which combines drawing, sculpture and costume design. Unfortunately the lightning conditions and the fact that dolls are in glass cases made it hard to snap good photos.

We also discovered that St.Catherine passage has several artistic shops devoted to hand crafts (one cellar with items from wool, one shop with nice drawings). This is a great setting and its a pity there are not more of these.

I really loved visiting the Dolls Museum in Old Town Tallinn!

It's located in a historical small medieval building, lovely as well! My husband and I walked in the store (which you must go through before the Cute Dolls Exposition) and immediately felt mesmerized by its mysterious magic. There were a lady and a young girl gave us the tour. Both of them very friendly and helpful. The young girl seemed to be pleased to tell us marvelous stories and historical info also about the building it self though out the little tour.

C: Excellent experience!
