Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is one of our favorite places in Old Town Tallinn. It's quiet and has quaint shops and cool tombstones from centuries ago. It's not easy to find this passage - just keep looking!

I was surprised that there was actually nothing to see. A couple of arches and a closed courtyard. Skip going out of your way to see this and take in other areas.

We had to search for this, as it's called Katariina's Kaik in Tallinn. A uniquely beautiful street, with historic headstones embedded in the walls.

This is a nice place to walk along,as there are plaques on the walls, and special stones on the ground with information about the area.
This passage is also where you will find the restaurant Contervento

We came here after visiting The Masters Courtyard where Pierre Chocolatery Café is at! Loved both the café and the walk here. Both strongly recommended 🥳🎉🥰 Say hello to Telle from me at the Chocolatery and give a big smile! She's amazing and will make you the best coffee ever! Hurry, she's there until end of July 2022 😎🤩🥳

Well worth the time to wander down here for shops and restaurants. I didn't try it, butt the Italian smelled great. Check out the stained glass shop. Interesting display of tombstones.

Based on photos I had seen I thought this was just a stone archway, but it is so much more than that. THere is history, intriguing photo opportunities and fun souvenier shops

Stepping down to a small chamber you enter the world of brightly shining glass. The walls are lined with marvelleous unique pieces of bowls, wine glasses and carafs with elaborate ornamentation and colouring. The artist Kai Koppel creates them with her daughter by the hot furnace in the back in the same manner as in Medieval times. I selected a light green bowl covered with small glass knots.

Like everywhere in Old City, this is a charming area for photos! And don't miss the tombstones built into the wall on one side.

It had a nice medieval feel to it, but the shops in the passageway are not as 'medieval' as I had hoped prior to my visit. However, you will come across this nice passage eventually. Very picturesque.
