About
The development of Tallinn’s fortifications, as well as medieval weapons and armour, are on display in this 15th-century tower. The interactive expositions on the six floors of the Epping Tower will fascinate both old and young visitors. Try on a coat of mail or wield a model weapon. Contemporary handicrafts are also on display.

The tower contains a lot of medeval weapons and armour that you can get hands on with. There is a catapult at the top and the informaiton explains how the towers were used hundreds of years ago in the defence of the town. Very interesting.

This 15th-century tower has six floors. The interactive exhibition will guide the visitor through the history and development of Tallinn's medieval defense systems. From the top, you have panoramic views of the Old Town.

We stumbled into this museum to get out of the rain. We didn't know it was there and therefore had no expectations. An adult ticket was €6.

On the ground floor there were multiple items of armour and weapons that you can try on and interact with. My only negative about that was the area is small so if there's a few people there it's quite hard to try things on and get photos.

You then climb up stairs and each floor has information about the history of the city walls and towers. I quite enjoyed the computer screen with a map of the lower town and Toompea on it, you were able to click on the towers and learn the name and purpose of each one. Further up the tower there were excellent views along the wall to other towers.

If you're interested in the history of the towers then definitely worth a visit!

Please note this wouldn't be suitable for someone unable to walk up multiple stairs and there were no toilet facilities.

Free with Tallinn card. To be honest, not much to see. There are couple of weapons and armors kids could wear and take photos.

This tower was the only one open in August but had some good exhibits and descriptions in English to show how medieval life was in Tallinn. The old catapult sling is well worth the climb to the top as are the views. There are lots of steps and the last set are very uneven stone. When we were there the last section wasn't lit.

Small interactive museum into Epping Tower is very interesting for adults and especially for kids. You can imagine yourself as knights there! Even I did that :-)))

Epping Tower was built back in the 14th century. We came across this spot by accident and had a wander through mid-morning. The tour hs a few exhibits on this part of history and some weapons and armour you can touch and try on. For serious sightseers, this place would be better seen on the Tallinn Card because it's not huge and the cost is high for what's included. It was interesting, however, to climb the internal staircases and check out the beautiful views of Tallinn.

One of the amazing towers built into the Old Town's defensive walls, this is a lovely tower to look at and photograph on the outside, but definitely not worth spending 6 euros to go inside to see the very scant display of weaponry, a lot of it reproduction.

This little museum was a treat with children. When you go in, they tell you "you can touch everything and you can try on everything, just don't open the windows on the top floors", and that holds. Kids (and adults) had a lot of fun testing knightly armor ;) Definitely take a stop here if you pass by.

There are several different sections of walls and towers which you can visit in Tallinn. To see all of them, you will have to fork out entrance fees a ludicrous number of times. That is why it makes sense for serious sight-seers to pay for the Tallinn card, which allows you entrance into all of the city's medieval defensive works.

This tower was built specifically in the 14th century to counter the increasing threat from cannons. There are some fairly scant exhibits on this aspect of history and some weapons you can touch. But really this place isn't worth paying 6 euros for if you are on a budget. Better to get the Tallinn card.
