Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have a little one with us on our cruise "Serenade of the Seas" which stops here in Tallin for one day. Instead of going through the touristy part of old town, we decided to take our baby here. It was a great place for him to crawl around and explore. Shoes off in the beginning of the museum which made me feel better about him crawling all around the museum. Lots of interactive toys and pictures! Definitely recommend it to families with little kids! The museum is located in a garden, nice to walk around before or afterwards with the stroller. We happened to be there on "Day of Tallin" so entrance was free, otherwise I think it's 4 Euros or so which I think is still well worth it.

Place was much smaller than we thought but anyway it was a good place to spend time with four years old. If it's pouring weather outside, go there. 6 euros for whole family and nice cafe also.

I heard about this place from some friends with recommendations for our travel to Tallinn with smaller kids, but did not know what to expect.
But it is such a lovely place for kids to play, to make role-plays, they can play with so many lovely equipment , e.g kitchen , post office , tailor , photographer , skier - it is just so nicely thought through. I am just impressed , and the best thing is, they pay really attention to nice toys made out of wood, and the things are made in kids size , so they can really pretend to be the cashier in a shop, with artificial money etc. They do not have any of these modern plastic toys, all is original, vintage and wonderful made. Our two boys just loved it.
We stayed about 3-4 hours , we would have loved to take the time for a coffee in the cafe , but it seems it was closed. I can only recommend this place.

Former swimming pool became a great place for kids with two outside playing grounds, and interesting entertainment inside the building of museum. Kids can watch educational video, or lear to make different things with their own hands. There is also a children cafeteria with not big choice of dishes, but very tasty.

Still, kids over 6 yers might be bored inside.

This museum is very close to play ground in Kadriorg and easy access from the park.
Museum is small, but interesting and with lovely coffee place.
Family ticket is 6 EUR so the price should not be an issue.
It is ideal for smaller children like under 6 years.

We spent half a day here last year when our daughter was 7. The play areas are creative and beautifully put together. It is very safe and children have the run of the place without adults having to worry. When we got there, some friendly children immediately invited our daughter to play with them. Even though our daughter spoke a different language, they communicated through play and there were a lot of smiles and giggling. It was one of the highlights of our trip, and the kids were very sad to say goodbye when it was time for them to go.

I would advise the museum to please FIRE the fat old lady with short blonde hair and glasses in the cafe who speaks Russian. She's very rude and acted like everything is an inconvenience. Because getting a snack and a drink for a kid is such hard work, right? She really ruined my mood that day. I don't think she should be working in the public sector around kids, my daughter also noticed her attitude. Other than that the museum is neat with a vintage theme. My little girl is 3 and really had fun with all the stuff there.

This charming hands-on museum has plenty to keep little kids occupied, provided they can exist for an hour or two without anything digital! Prices are very modest. There is a cafe on site plus a party room. Right outside is one of the most extensive playgrounds in the city centre, with four different play areas for kids of different ages and levels of agility.
