Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a garden along an old wall. It is a nice rose garden but not very large. It is not a historical garden and does not date back to Danish kings. I can't remember why it got the name. If you are on the path, enjoy. Otherwise, you can skip it.

It is free to see the garden, although I first saw if from the coffee shop windows on one of the towers and looked even better from above 🥳😬🙏🏼. Part of the Free Tallinn Tour (tips highly recommended 🥳🤩). Christopher was amazing! The coffee was also really good and the young woman there very nice too 🙏🏼🎊🥳 People in Tallinn are very nice! 🎊🎉

A peaceful and beautiful place to sit and The White Monk terrace next to it is a good place for lunch if you are visiting Kiek in die Koch and as an alternative to their rather soulless cafe (we went out for lunch and back in again afterwards)

Taani kuninga aed is Estonian for Danish Kings garden. This garden is surrounded by city walls. You can walk down by taking old stairs. But be careful the stairs are uneven. It's close to the old town and if you want a moment of rest it's a nice place.

This is an interesting ancient garden where the Danes allegedly first came and conquered the locals. The enormous statues of monks are unusual and ideal for the ubiquitous selfie!

This is beautiful & atmospheric, with the towers, wall, parapet & statues of monks. Despite visiting three times, I've yet to view the placard commemorating the birth of the Dannebrog. It is fairly small & quickly fills up when the cruise ships have disgorged their passengers. (visit early or late).

It is interesting and bewitching place. Figures of monks, fortress wall, ancient towers make a lasting impression.

It's a pretty garden in July and located outside the museum. There are three giant monks that keep watch over the area. Nice views as well.

This was the area of toompea hill where the Giant monks maintained their vigil! There was a museum with a large gun outside too. Lots of stalls selling fruit or nuts and flocks of pigeons. Well worth a visit.
