Nice destination if you want to see more than the Old Town
Sep 2020
The Pirita convent in ruins is a nice building to be visited, specially if you're willing to see more of Tallinn than just the Old Town. Beautiful construction, and the surrounding neighborhood is also worth the visit. The forest cemetery is close by, and a beautiful place to enjoy the peace of nature.

Worth a visit
Jul 2019
We stopped at Pirita late in the afternoon on the way to NOA Chefs Hall for dinner. The small cemetery and convent ruins are hauntingly beautiful. A little bit out of the old town but good public transport connections. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit here but if you are nearby or have plenty of time, it is definitely worth a visit. The sunlight on the ruins late in the afternoon was especially photogenic.

Cool concert venue!
Jul 2019
Beautiful blooms at Kadriorg Park and the ruins of an old monastery for both monks and nuns from the 15th century, St. Brigit’s Convent or Pirita Klooster. This convent is actually used as a venue for concerts!

Lovely Ruined Convent
Jul 2019 • Friends
Sadly we were only able to see the outside of this lovely ruined 15th century convent on the bank of the Pirita River as we drove past it on the Hop-On Hop-Off bus, but they gave us enough information that we are determined to visit the convent properly next time we are in Tallinn.

Magnificent convent structure
May 2019 • Friends
My friend and I visited on 19th May. Although the convent was heavily attacked and looted during the Livonian War, the structure is imposing yet impressive and you can take some magnificent pictures. Although there is information about the different segments of the convent at the entrance, more information or a map to show what it may have looked at would have made the visit more interesting. Nonetheless, it cost little to visit and I highly recommend!

Ruins of the 15th century convent sitting along the banks of the Pirita River. The convent was bombed and destroyed by the Russians.

Beautiful place (PRICES INCLUDED)
Jul 2019 • Family
We came here by bus from town centre and paid €5.00 for a family ticket.

The walk around the place takes about 30 minutes and is very pleasant.

It’s also a short walk away from the beach on the other side of the road.

Definitely worth a visit.

Toilets aren’t great though :)

Looked Great from the outside.
Mar 2019 • Couples
Went there especially but sadly it was closed due to the grounds being muddy due to the snow thaw.
Would definitely have it on my list to go again.

Something unexpected
Apr 2019 • Business
It was something unexpected to see the scope and organisation of this compex of buildings. Sorry that only basics of buildings have remained. It would be interesting to make a full replica og the monastery.
