Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This yellow church looks perfect! Everytime I visit Tallinn, I visit JAANI KIRIK. I like everything: interior, silent inside and this wonderful geometry of building of church.

A very modest church certainly not as impressive as others in the city, but still worth a visit. Not too far from the center (walking distance)

Went to the church today and when I walked inside there was organ and fuete music playing. The acoustics were very good.
Outside is interesting but the inside is very nice.

I love all the unique pipe organs in European churches and this one didn't disappoint. It was quiet and peaceful inside the church. Since it's a bit on the outskirts of Old Town I suspect it gets less traffic than other churches. It's worth the walk to find it though because there is lots to see in this area.

This church is stylish - gothic, very simple medim size church. Very peaceful as there is not too much decorations. Good Place if you want to be a moment with your thoughts.

A relatively new church built in the nineteenth century. I guess its best asset is its exterior although its Gothic appearance is not in harmony with other buildings in the freedom square.

The Gothic Church was completed in 1867 and is certainly a contrast to the neighbourhood! Apparently proposals to demolish the church were made in the 1930s and 1950s, with no success. The church isn't particularly striking, certainly when compared to others in Tallinn, but any church that managed to dodge the wrecking ball and survive in a neighbourhood where it is so clearly out of place is worth noting.

Definetely not one of the best churches in Tallinn, but given that I advise to you all to visit Freedom Square then you can take a look anyway once you are there. Such a nice square would deserve a better church.

Ups, this is actually not the right photo. What you see on the photo here is St John´s church on Freedom Square (Vabaduse väljak) in central Tallinn whereas the St John´s Hospital and Almshouse (Jaani seek) is a tiny church on the way to the Tallinn bus station on Tartu road. It´s a church where people with leprosy used to be taken care of.

It's just a tiny church, like hundreds of others between high modern buildings.
