Kadriorg Park is a gorgeous place that's perfect for taking a walk in or reading a book. I attended a benefit concert for Ukraine that was held here and also was able to dress up in historic costumes with friends for free outside of the palace. There are many playgrounds for children, at least one cafe, nice ponds that you rent a rowboat for, and well maintained gardens. If you're in the area make sure to stop by!

Had a relaxing walk around the place. There's apparently an art exhibition too, but it closed when I visited.

We took the Tram here and arrived early to walk around the beautiful grounds before the palace and Kummu museum. It was actually our favorite part of the experience in the end.

This 70-hectare park is Estonia's most spectacular palace and city park. Peter the Great started to build it in 1718.
The most popular place for walking is the rectangular Swan Pond, which is full of flower beds. The promenade leading to the stunning palace starts from here.
In 2011, Kadriorg Park received a truly wonderful addition in form of the Japanese garden designed by Japan's renowned landscape designer Masao Sone.
Kadriorg Park is home to several museums: Estonia's largest visual arts museum Kumu, the Kadriorg Art Museum in the palace building, and the Mikkeli Art Museum in the kitchen building next to the palace.

The park is a large area containing a number of interesting gardens and buildings. Well worth to walk around particularly on a sunny day. Nice areas of interesting plants and strucutres with a few ponds. Watch out for the wild robot mowers!! They are hiding everywhere!!

Very unsafe for young children with no barriers to prevent them running directly into the recessed water ditches and lake! The playground was decent enough but the small fairground next door was staffed by extremely unfriendly and unhelpful staff (despite the extortionate €4/ for single ride cost)- we waited patiently after paying €16 for over 5 minutes, with no one attending or updating us- they seemed unperturbed when we requested a full refund as we had two distressed young children who had been excited and then disappointed. The park & museum itself is OK, but nothing special, Japanese garden not well maintained. Expectation vs. Reality very different. I rarely post unless I have a positive or poor experience that others should consider. If this is the best park attraction then I’m going to be very dissatisfied, was hoping for much better than UK…

During our stay in Tallin´s city centre, we needed some time in the nature. We took the tram nr.1 and went to the Kardriorg Park. We admired the great autumn scenery and we have also spent some time in the Japanese Garden, which really looks amazing. Definitely a recommendation

Ho can you get to Kadriorg Park from Old Town? Is there a bus or train and how long should we plan for this transportation? We will be there for one day only.
