Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

IThe displays were interesting and well displayed.
The temporary exhibition,

"Kings and Guards historical weapons and armor" was especially good. There are ads for it all around town, even in the Tallinn Gate.

I've been to Pärnu a few times now, but did not know that much about the history, but my wife is raised in Pärnu. We also had a relative with us, an elderly lady in a wheel-chair. We also had some teenagers and friends from the states with us, and it turned out to be really interesting for all of us!

There was also a special exhibition called "Kings and Guards", which was a big add-on, with magnificent items and a small section where the teens could touch and feel (and use) the guards equipment.

It was also a very friendly museum, both in regards of the staff but also the way it was organized for disabled people. It worked like a charm, so we all deemed this to be a high-light during our stay, and we all learnt a lot.

Refreshed museum in Pärnu, basically presenting all history of Estonia and specially Pärnu from IceAge time. worth to visit as alternative to typical Pärnu evenings. Close to shopping mall, reachable by walk or scooters.

I was helping to kill time before my ferry from Tallin , so along with wondering around the city itself I took time in this interesting museum!
It charts the history of the city and area in chronilogical order from cave living up to the present .
All very well displayed with good information and intresting artifacts and a very good varied collection
the lady at the ticket office was very helpful and a great way to spend an hour or so in a modern and easy going place.
The cafe next door was also lovley and with a good range of home made treats
If you ahve time , go and visit and learn about this fascinating place

Modern museum with well thought-out displays and interesting historic films to watch. Need to allow at least one hour, preferably two. Can also recommend the cafe.

I like history and so I went to remind myself what I read in history classes back when I was a wee lad. Features history of Pärnu area since prehistoric times until now. Also a temporary exhibition about various people and things Pärnu is known for (in July 2018 at least).

The shop had nice souvenirs as well.
