About
In Parnu's modern intercity bus terminal, you might accidentally run into a train! That's because on the 110th anniversary of the Parnu-Valga narrow gauge railway, the first one in Estonia, it was decided that its historic location should be marked. In 2006, a steam locomotive built in 1911 by the O. & Koppel factory in Germany and a platform wagon built in 1913 by the Arthur Koppel company in St. Petersburg were placed at the location of the former passenger station in the centre of Parnu.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were expecting something more, but it was just a small locomotive. Right along the street/ road with all kind of vehicles passing in downtown.

It seems kids like climbing on it, tourists also climb up for photos.

With some new history moments for me. But probably needs more photo materials, and etc. to be more attractive and informative for tourists.

As I said in the title, it's just a monument to Railway. A nice spot to take some photos and go on. Nothing more.

We were just coming from our walk in the historical center of Parnu, when we suddenly saw this miracle. Our son was so happy he could climb in and explore everything.

Small part of Estonian railway history close to the main bus station. You must visit this place with your children, but be safe - road is very close !
