About
Coastal meadows and reed thickets line the sandy Parnu Beach almost to the extent of the entire city. The Parnu Coastal Meadow Protection area was created in 1958 to protect endangered and rare plant species and communities, coastal meadows, creeks and moving dunes as valuable habitats. The coastal meadows in Vana-Parnu and Raekula districts are the most interesting. The dryer Vana-Parnu Meadow has been maintained and cut for decades. A bird-watching tower and a small hiking trail were built here in 2008.Come and enjoy pure nature in the midst of the city!

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Worth a visit if you are travelling to Parnu. Very calm and quiet. Nice and wild. Although I guess I didn't see everything. :)

A very good urban park. Many places to walk or bicycle. Elegant old villas inland, coastal dunes and marsh separating it from the beach. Burger stands at the main beach area serve average family/teen food. Depending on where you walk towards the beach, you might hit the women's or men's nude beaches. Gawking is not encouraged!

Easy to find - only ten miniutes walk from city center, before the beach. The wooden path is quite short, but you can see beauty of nature here.

A range of walks are available through this very peaceful reserve on the edge of Parnu.

The obvious attraction is the very short (~10 minute) wooden boardwalk and watchtower at the southeastern end of Parnu beach, with good information boards which makes for a nice diversion on a beach-day. Longer walking routes are possible using the hiking/cycling path that runs along the back of the nature reserve, various paths down through it to the beach and watch-towers that give a view over the reeds, with a beachfront return. Doing this you can spend a good 1-2 hours here.

It's peaceful and full of wildlife.

There has a quite new wooded trail you can walk to see the surroundings and take a look at the sea. There has a beautiful views and you can heard the natural beautiful frog and bird concert during your journey :). We liked this place very much. This isn't too long but really good attraction and worth to visit. Especially at spring-summertime when there you can see also a scottich cows and a lot of birds.
